who would you carry and who would you let stay

Here are two questions that have relatively the same answer. Question 1 A farmer has a chicken some corn and a fox to carry across a lake in a small boat, and he can only carry one item at a time. He cannot leave the fox with the chicken, because it will eat the chicken and he cannot leave the chicken with the corn, because it will eat the corn. How does he carry everything across the lake? Question 2 If you are driving merrily along in your car, that only has the capability of carying one other passenger, and you happen to pass a bus stop with three people, how would you solve this moral dilemma if the three people are:- 1. An old lady which needs immediate medical attention 2. An old friend that once saved your life, which you never repaid 3. The obvious love of your life Remember the car can only fit one person other than the driver. Think outside the box!
